What should I do now?
For online degree students
1. Log In to the New Portal
- Go to portal.byupathway.edu
- Select “Student Portal Homepage”
- On the Microsoft Account page, paste the new byupathway.edu login from the email we sent you
(I can't find my login)
- Sign in with your Church account
2. Pay Past Tuition
If you haven’t already, please pay any overdue tuition immediately so you can register for 2025 courses. In your new portal, go to "Finances" > "Pay Tuition."
3. Choose a Religion (Institute) Gathering
Whether or not you plan to take a religion course this term, you must select a gathering time to clear the hold. Instead of using MyInstitute, you will select a religion gathering time and location in your new portal under “Academics” > “Gatherings.”
(If you’ve completed all religion requirements for your degree, you may still need to select a religion gathering to clear the hold. However, you won’t be expected to attend.)
4. Review Your Degree
Go to “Academics” then “Certificates and Degrees” to verify your selections match the plan in your current portal.
Students in 2024 catalog (three-year degrees)
If you want to make changes, select “Choose a Path.” The system will walk you through selecting a career focus and which degree and certificates are the best match. (Learn more.)
Students in older catalogs
If your degree plan doesn’t look correct and you need to redeclare it, please contact Support in the portal you use for Fall 2024 courses. Do not register for incorrect courses.
5. Clear Holds
A hold means there is a task you must complete before you can register for courses. Go to the main menu of your portal to view any holds and how to remove them. (
6. Register for Courses
Go to “Academics” then “Class Schedule.” (All holds must be cleared first.) Register soon to secure your spot. (
7. Guaranteed Tuition Discount
If you haven’t already, apply to receive the Heber J. Grant Tuition Discount (10–50% off)! Go to “Finances” then “Tuition Discount.” If you’re receiving this discount currently, it will be moved to the new system.
We know switching to new systems is a big change and can be challenging. Follow the steps above to make this transition as quick and smooth as possible. Please use our
