Search "New BYU-Pathway Portal" in your personal email. This should pull up messages that contain the new byupathway.edu login you need to sign in to your new portal.

If you can't find this email, use login@byupathway.edu to continue to sign in with your Church account. In the new portal, go to "My Profile" then "Username & Emails" to find your assigned byupathway.edu login for next time.

2. Clear Holds
A hold means there is a task you must complete before you can register for courses. Go to the main menu of your portal to "View all holds" and how to remove them. ( Learn more .)

3. Plan Your Degree
If you are starting with PathwayConnect, skip this step.

Go to “Academics” > “Certificates and Degrees” > “Choose a Path.” The system will walk you through selecting a career focus and which degree and certificates are the best match. Confirm your selections. ( Learn more .)

4. Choose Your Gathering(s)
All students meet once weekly for their religion course. Choose a virtual gathering time and location by going to “Academics” then “Gatherings.”

Students starting with PathwayConnect must also select the time and location of their academic gathering.

(Note: If you choose to register separately for an in-person religion class through MyInstitute, your credits will automatically transfer later.)

5. Register for Courses
Make sure all holds are cleared first. Then go to “Academics” then “Class Schedule.” Register soon to secure your spot! ( Learn more .)

6. Access Microsoft Office
You have access to Microsoft 365 apps and a new email inbox through your byupathway.edu login! You’ll be able to download and use these apps as long as you are an enrolled student. Check your personal email for a message titled "Access Microsoft 365 Apps" to learn how to access your email and other Microsoft tools.

7. Guaranteed Tuition Discount
After you register for courses, apply to receive the Heber J. Grant Tuition Discount (10–50% off)! Go to “Finances” then “Tuition Discount.” All students who register for Block 2 courses will also receive an additional 15% off.

8. Tuition Deadline
Tuition is due the second day of courses. Please prepare to pay tuition that week in your portal under "Finances."

9. Need Help?
Sign in to our Help Center, and submit a ticket or use the 24/7 chatbot.

We will email you additional information before courses begin to help you prepare. Again, welcome to BYU-Pathway!
