As you do your best to balance your responsibilities, the Lord will guide you to make inspired decisions

Family activities, work meetings, church responsibilities, grocery shopping, helping the kids with their homework, then doing your own homework … the list goes on. If you’re thinking, “How is it possible to do it all?” then read on — we’ve got some tips to help you succeed.
1. Set clear goals and prioritize

What are your top priorities for this year? What about this month or week? Begin by setting clear goals you want to accomplish, then prioritize actions that will help you get to where you want to be. If your goal is to get an A grade in your course this block, consider meeting with a tutor, spending more time on assignments, and turning them in on time.
2. Make a plan and stick to it
Picture this: you set a clear goal to get an A in your class, but now it’s the middle of the block. You’re tempted to skip an assignment so you can spend some much-needed time with your family. Here are some different tools and strategies you can use to manage your priorities and make time for both:
- Calendars and lists: Break down tasks into smaller steps so they are more manageable.
- Planners: Identify what times are best to work on the tasks you've prioritized.
Don’t forget — life is a balance, and it’s okay to take a break when you need it. By planning ahead, you can make time for both your responsibilities and the people who matter most, ensuring nothing important gets left behind.
Managing your time isn’t just about getting more done; it’s about making space for what matters most.
3. Learn to say “no” to avoid overcommitting
Ever feel like you can’t take on one more thing? There will be moments when the best strategy is to say “no” to new commitments. Sometimes setting boundaries and safeguarding your goals will be best, especially when you've reached your limit. Remember, the Lord does not expect you to “run faster than [you] have strength.”4. Make the most of the small moments

Taking care of your overall well-being — including physical and mental health — is important as well. For example, the next time you have a precious moment when things slow down, consider what needs to be your highest priority: getting some rest, completing an assignment, spending time in the sun, or playing with your children. Think through your typical day. What can you do to maximize the small moments for what you need most?
5. Seek the Lord’s guidance
At the end of the day, your best help will come from the Lord and leaning on Him for guidance. Elder John C. Taggart, a former Area Seventy, taught, “A person grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoying the sweet companionship of the Holy Ghost will find balance, even—or especially—in the face of overwhelming, unavoidable burdens.”Managing your time isn’t just about getting more done; it’s about making space for what matters most. As you set goals, create a plan, and seek the Lord’s guidance, you’ll find balance even in the busiest seasons of your life.
