Transform your entire week by making small changes to your Sabbath-day worship
Sunday has been set apart as a day of rest, but when we're swamped with responsibilities at school, work, and church, it can be difficult to take a break. As we sacrifice our time and energy to connect with God on His day, we are promised blessings that will help us to face the week with confidence and faith.

Have you ever considered what the Sabbath means to God? He said. “Thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day; For verily this is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High.”

So what changes can we make to our Sundays to show we love God? Studying the scriptures, doing family history work, spending quality time with family, not working (if possible), and not doing homework are some ideas to start with.
As you sacrifice to set apart Sunday as God's day, you are promised that “the fulness of the earth is yours.”

You will find rest and rejuvenation as you set aside Sundays as a day to connect with God and others and rest from the chaos of life.Elder David A. Bednar, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, promises that we will “‘be still’ in our holy places of worship and know ever more surely that God is our Heavenly Father, we are His children, and Jesus Christ is our Savior.”

On Sunday and throughout the week, quiet time makes it easier to talk with God, reflect and refocus, and find answers to questions.
Going for walks, spending time in a private space, or praying can help you make the most of valuable quiet time on Sunday. Remember, “Spiritual experiences have less to do with what is happening around us and everything to do with what is happening within our hearts.”

When you do your best to keep the Sabbath day holy and sacrifice your time to the Lord, you will begin to see blessings every day of the week. You will come to know God better and will find true rest in Him, even if your challenges or responsibilities remain unchanged.

As you do this, Heavenly Father promises, “Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth.”
