Through remote jobs, BYU-Pathway students and employers are thriving together

Balancing education while meeting basic needs is a common challenge for BYU-Pathway Worldwide students, including Nixon Ehaji from Kenya. A flexible, remote job through Boosted Books changed his life — enabling him to support his family and continue his education with renewed hope.
More and more BYU-Pathway students are proving to be invaluable contributors in the workplace, leading more than 100 companies — such as Amazon, Microsoft, and JPMorgan Chase — to hire them. Some businesses, like Boosted Books, are providing remote jobs specifically to BYU-Pathway students after benefiting from the professional skills they have to offer.
BYU-Pathway students have shifted the ‘why’ behind Boosted Books, from helping small businesses to realizing we’ve got an opportunity to touch the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, of people around the world.

Benefiting students and employers
BYU-Pathway equips students for better employment before graduation. “Students become more prepared to enter the job market,” Nixon said. Through certificates that build into three-year bachelor’s degrees, students learn skills that increase marketability and qualify them for promotions.
Companies are increasing remote job opportunities, and BYU-Pathway students are rising to the occasion. From 2023 to 2024, the number of students with a remote job tripled from 3,000 to more than 9,000. These hardworking, reliable, multilingual, and culturally diverse disciple leaders are valuable assets to their employers as they continue to develop their skills through BYU-Pathway courses.
