Every BYU‑Pathway student qualifies for a tuition discount — making your education even more affordable from day one!

Heber J. Grant Tuition Discount

Save 10%, 25%, or even 50% on your tuition, based on your needs and enrollment status.

How it works:
  • Complete an interactive lesson in your student portal after enrolling.
  • If you are a degree-seeking student, you must:
    1. Apply for the discount at the beginning of their program.
    2. Be registered for courses at least three days before the semester begins.
    3. Reapply every two years to maintain your discount.

Returned Missionary Scholarship

If you've returned from a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the past 60 days, you are eligible for a 25% tuition discount — even if you didn't complete your mission.

To qualify:
  • Returned missionaries must registered for courses at least three days before the semester starts.

Needs-based Scholarship

You can work with an assigned mentor, who will help determine if you are eligible for a needs-based scholarship. (This scholarship is limited to one term during the first year of enrollment.)

Additional Financial Aid Options

Students may search and apply for private scholarships that fit their individual needs and qualifications.

U.S. citizens working toward a degree through BYU-Pathway are not eligible for federal loans, Pell Grants, or other third-party scholarships.
